To introduce myself, my name is Pim ter Braak, and I’m a Dutch animator specializing in stop-motion. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Animation, I’ve worked on a variety of professional stop-motion projects for clients like Lego, Mattel, Prudential insurance, KWOF (a part of the World Cancer research fund), Sportcity and Plus(a Dutch supermarket chain). I animated my first larger non-commercial project for the short film Saleeg, which was selected for the Annecy film festival.

On the personal side my directorial debut was made using a medium close to my heart. Claymation. The Chameleon, a fun short film I directed, storyboarded and designed about a colour-changing chameleon was selected for 36 film festivals worldwide. 

I’'m particularly proud of my latest work as an animator on “Wad is, is nu“. For which I animated the animal puppets for the project, portraying different personalities for al of them.

I love to challenge our slick modern visual tendencies with animation consisting of tangible textures. Stop-motion animation creates a bridge between reality and fiction. Using this stylized visual symbolism I want to find the best ways to tell stories.

My services consist of two types.

Are you seeking to create a film, music video, commercial or social media content? I take on projects in my own studio space, from start to finish.

Are you working on a project and need assistance? I’m available to work on site for projects.

I’m happy to branch out and experiment. I’m interested in exploring illustration, both 2D and with stop-motion like sets! I would love to see what I could aid to theaterproductions in terms of puppetmaking and maybe even puppeteering.

Lastly I love spreading joy around animation of any kind. In the future I would love to give workshops and courses on animating and the intrigues of stop-motion animation.

Place a puppet in real life places and weather while maintaining an illustrated look for the characters or objects of your choosing.

Have an idea but not sure how to show it visualy? We can make concept art and storyboards to communicate how the end product will turn out.

We are able to design projects as well, focusing on the visuals that enhance the story you want to tell.

Depending on your need we are able to build props, sets and puppets.

Need help editing or cleaning-up footage? We have experience in problem solving while editing when being bound to the footage that you have.
